You Are the Calm in the Storm

Most people today move through life like caffeinated chimpanzees—tossed hither and thither like napkins in a windstorm, reacting to every whim of media and every manipulative pulse of distraction.

They’ve lost sovereignty over their own energy, their own destiny, and their own direction.

You can choose differently…

You can choose presence over reaction.

If you are not providing stability for those you love, who will?

Are you going to outsource it? Hand it to your neighbor? Pass it off to your children? Assign it to ChatGPT?

The world is starving for calm, grounded leaders—silent kings and queens who carry their peace and presence wherever they go.

I challenge you:

Claim your sovereignty.

Be the calm.

Be the anchor.

Hold the space.

You may ask, How do I do that in this cluttered time?

People often tell me, “I just don’t have time to get this grounding.”

My question back is simple: How can you afford not to?

Without centering, you create motion but no momentum.

For me, breathwork is the key.

For others, it’s yoga, a walk in nature, tai chi, or prayer—any reflective practice that quiets the noise and brings you back to your center.

The goal is to move out of the limbic brain—the primitive part that only asks, Should I eat it, kill it, or mate with it? Most of us live there 95% of the time. It’s not until we take a few intentional breaths and bring energy forward to the frontal cortex that we regain clarity, compassion, and calm.

That’s the real challenge of this modern world—our phones, our feeds, our endless alerts. They keep us reactive.

So today, I challenge you again:

Be the calm in the storm.

Claim your sovereignty.

Choose presence over reaction.

The world needs your stillness now more than ever.

In abundance, confidence, and gratitude,
